The characters of this game are YOU, no need to create a voice or ability you do not have, actually doing anything that YOU would not do in real life will destroy a good experience from the game (especially if you never played it).
There's no leveling up, there is no reason for leveling up, the game uses creativity to bend situations and spark curiosity to solve problems and win battles, being clever and curious are your biggest weapons so even having one point of health will not be a problem to beat the game if you are smart enough.
Be yourself, seat back and relax.
In order to join a run of Status Quo:
1-all players must have one NPC prepared besides themselves, the NPC should be a close person they know in depth so the NPC can used at the Status Quo Round to thrust the narrative forward and be important enough to modify the actions of the main player.
*as you ace in Status Quo the GM may ask you for more NPCs.
2-all players must have one special object that can be physically carried with them during the run, the object and its importance must be explained to the GM BEFORE the run.
*as you ace in Status Quo the GM may ask you for more objects.
3-all players must have a group voice chat installed, and a browser opened at this page to check their characters. The group chat will provide all visual clues and items for the players, be sure that if you are disconnected to swiftly message yourGM so your character can be paused.
All players are allowed to use any tools necessary to solve the puzzles from the game, translators, visual programs and recording apps, anything that you might believe necessary, just like in real life.

All the players and their NPCs start the game with the same Health (HP) points, Attack (ATK) points, their
NPCs have only HP, there are buffs and de-buffs (variables) that change the overall damage and heal points and all numbers stack up leaving a history for the player to compare and trace past mistakes. |
All the players have their stats displayed in a web published table like the one bellow (Basic Table).
Each GM have complete freedom to modify the in game rules, so have fun with your stats. |
The table above shows an example of the player stats being show via published table of contents.
It has an ultra simplified field for beginners, as experienced players join, I would suggest for more variety, adding mana, spell attacks, etc.

You may also use shared sheets to have a longer written campaign, letting players write and evolve the narrative without meeting for
a run, if you are familiar with Google Sheets, that set up can be build within minutes.A written campaign GM must be conscious of
parameters to limit the writing subjected by each player, nor else the game might suffer from pacing and stale, my suggestion is
5 paragraphs each players per round.
